The 69ɫ Career Development Center hosted Career Fair 2024 on April 19th, gathering students, alums, and employers for networking, learning and havingfun!

The Career Fair event was not just another networking event. It was a unique experience for everyone, featuring guest lectures, exciting activities and the chance to win amazing prizes. This year twenty sponsoring companies and nine event partners created an incredible atmosphere at the 69ɫ front yard. This year the 69ɫ Career Development Center achieved a milestone by securing $12,500 in funding! Out of the $12,500, as much as $6,500 will be dedicated to the 69ɫ Alumni Scholarship Fund, ensuring continued support for our exceptional students in the upcoming academic year.

69ɫ President Timothy O'Connor kicked off the event with a welcoming speech - " The Career Fair is a special event that brings back 69ɫ alumni to their alma mater. This year 18 69ɫ alumni are involved in the fair through sponsor and partner organizations, contests and career presentations. Thank you for your continued support and efforts to make 69ɫ a great place to build careers and professional lives." After the opening ceremony, students had the chance to visit different booths set up by companies. Each booth's representatives provided information about their company's culture, job opportunities and requirements.

Apart from networking opportunities there were also competitive activities such as the annual "Sales Start Contest" and "Creativity Contest." This year the prize pool exceeded last year's three times and amounted to $2,500 compared to the previous year's $800! One of the new additions to the contest list was a "Speed Dating" dynamic platform that facilitates meaningful connections between students and prominent, experienced alumni, exposing students to valuable insights on structured interaction, mentorship opportunities, and career guidance.

The Career Fair 2024 was a testament to 69ɫ's commitment to providing its students with a platform for finding a future employer, helping students find the job of their dreams andallowing students to choose their future career paths. Thanks to all who came to the Career Fair and may development be with you!
