The British agency Quacquarelli Simmons British agency Quacquarelli Symonds (QS)听has published, which includes more than 1,500 of the best universities in the world. For the second year in a row, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) topped the ranking. The top ten also includes Imperial College London, Stanford University, Oxford University, Harvard University, Cambridge University, the Swiss Higher Technical School of Zurich (ETH Zurich), the National University of Singapore (NUS), the University of North London and the California Institute of Technology (Caltech).

was recognized by the QS agency as the best university in Kyrgyzstan. The rating also includes four more universities from Kyrgyzstan:听Kyrgyz-Turkish University "Manas", Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B. N. Yeltsin, Kyrgyz National University named after Zhusup Balasagyn and Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov.

A special methodology is used to compile the rating, which evaluates various aspects of university activities: academic reputation, teaching staff, international reputation, graduate employment, and so on.
