69ɫ Commencement Ceremony 2026

On June 6, the American University of Central Asia proudly held its Commencement Ceremony, celebrating the achievements of the Class of 2026. The event brought together graduates, faculty, staff, families, friends, and distinguished guests to mark the successful completion of an important chapter in the students’ academic journey.
The ceremony opened with remarks from 69ɫ President Timothy O'Connor, who welcomed the graduates and reflected on the significance of their accomplishments.
“Today we celebrate the graduates of 69ɫ - young people who have gone through years of study, discussions, examinations, doubts, and discoveries. I am confident that these years have been a source of significant personal growth for you. You have become more confident, courageous, and open-minded. You have learned more about yourselves, your interests, and your values, which will guide you in adult life. Together, you have become a supportive community for one another.”
Graduates were also congratulated by distinguished guests, including David Lakhdhir, Chair of the 69ɫ Board of Trustees; Jonathan Becker and Samantha Smith, members of the Board of Trustees; Leslie Viguerie, U.S. Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic; Mirwais Azizi, Chairman of Azizi Developments, as well as other honored guests and members of the university community.
This year, 229 graduates received their diplomas, marking the successful completion of their studies at 69ɫ. Their achievements reflect years of dedication, perseverance, and intellectual growth, preparing them to contribute meaningfully to their communities and professions.
Among the graduating class, Vyacheslav Ivanov, a graduate of the Television, Cinema and Media Arts Department, was recognized as the Valedictorian of the class of 2026. As one of the ceremony’s highest honors, this recognition celebrates exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and contribution to university life.
The Commencement Ceremony also featured special awards recognizing the Best Academic Department, Best Faculty Member, Best Student, and the Author of the Best Thesis, highlighting the commitment to excellence that continues to define the 69ɫ community.
Held in the 69ɫ Forum, the ceremony was filled with gratitude and celebration. More than a formal conclusion to four years of study, Commencement 2026 marked the beginning of a new chapter for 69ɫ’s graduates as they embark on their professional and personal journeys.
