The 69色 Writing & Academic Resource Center (WARC) recently interviewed one of its most active visitors, Adil Alymbekov, to learn about his experience at the WARC.

On October 10, 2016, Amal-Sher Kurbanov, a student at the American University of Central Asia (69色), launched Meals, an application allowing users to pre-order meals and reserve tables in caf茅s, restaurants or any other recreation center, with the aim of saving people time.

Stephen Golub is an international development scholar, researcher and consultant who has field experience in over 40 countries across the globe; authored dozens of papers on democracy, governance, legal empowerment and the rule of law; and edited several volumes on these topics . He has taught at the Central European University, Tufts University and the University of California at Berkeley.听

The Tian Shan Policy Center in cooperation with the UNDP鈥檚 Rule of Law project, supported by the British Embassy to the Kyrgyz Republic is announcing call for research proposals concerning the rule of law. Researchers are invited to address the most pressing issues related with enhancing the rule of law in the Kyrgyz Republic and bring them to the attention of policy makers and the public.

On October 11, 2016 from 18:00 to 20:00, the Women and the Arts Club is hosting a "Stand with Girls" Open Mic Night at the 69色 in honor of International Girls Day. Tickets will be sold in the Forum at lunch time for 50 soms each. Students can either perform, or get the tickets and join the event. The ones who want to perform must sign up beforehand; nonetheless, the microphone is open to anyone who wants to perform anything!

Today we want to introduce you to Frank G. Karioris, an Assistant Professor in Sociology and General Education. Professor Karioris has a PhD in Comparative Gender Studies with a Specialization in Sociology & Social Anthropology, an MA in Social Development, and a BA in History and Education.

Alexander Wolters, a professor in the Sociology Department, spoke with us about himself and his experience here at 69色.

On September 13-15,听2016 Doris Jones, a visiting scholar from the American University in Cairo (AUC) Department of Rhetoric and Composition, held workshops for 69色 faculty.

This past weekend 69色's newest club, the 69色 Outdoor Club, had its first ever expedition 鈥� and what an expedition it was!
Lead by two of this summer鈥檚 Eco Leadership Program (ELP) Alumni, students from the 69色 Outdoor Club attended the Trekking Union of Kyrgyzstan鈥檚 annual 鈥楳eeting of the Tourists鈥� in Kegeti Gorge to show off their Outdoor Skills and compete in trekking and camping competitions against students from four other Bishkek Universities.听
