On April 26, 2016 a delegation from the People’s Republic of China visited the American University of Central Asia. The delegation consisted of representatives from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the head of an International Education Initiative.

New Undergrad Programs to Open at 69ɫ
Starting from the 2016-2017 academic year, the American University of Central Asia (69ɫ) will have two new departments: the Department of Television, Cinematography and Visual Art and the Department of Applied Geology. Heads of the new departments spoke about their new programs at a press-conference on May 19, 2016.

On April 23, 2016, students from the Logistics and Supply Chain Management Certificate Program at the American University of Central Asia (69ɫ) visited the Kumtor gold mine.The purpose of the trip was to introduce students to the astronomical logistics of everyday operations at one of the biggest companies in Kyrgyzstan.
