Anastasiia Shevtsova, a junior in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communications at the American University of Central Asia, is finishing up her exchange semester at Collegium Civitas (CC) in Poland. She took a moment to share her thoughts with us on life abroad in Poland.

On April 26, 2016 a delegation from the People鈥檚 Republic of China visited the American University of Central Asia. The delegation consisted of representatives from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the head of an International Education Initiative.

Starting from the 2016-2017 academic year, the American University of Central Asia (69色) will have two new departments: the Department of Television, Cinematography and Visual Art and the Department of Applied Geology. Heads of the new departments spoke about their new programs at a press-conference on May 19, 2016.

On April 23, 2016, students from the Logistics and Supply Chain Management Certificate Program at the American University of Central Asia (69色) visited the Kumtor gold mine.听The purpose of the trip was to introduce students to the astronomical logistics of everyday operations at one of the biggest companies in Kyrgyzstan.

The American University of Central Asia鈥檚 (69色) Student Senate, in collaboration with Bard College, is organizing the first Model United Nations (MUN) conference for Bishkek high school students. The conference will take place on June 2, 2016.

The Student Intellectual Life Committee (SILC) supports student-initiated projects, professional development opportunities, and student research.
