As a participant of the Global UGRAD program, Aizhamal Sydykova, ICP-113, spent her academic year 2014-2015 at the Otero Junior College in La Junta, Colorado, U.S. She tells us about that year abroad, an internship she had at an energy company, and how she participated in the event in support of kids with cancer.

Alexander Moree is one of the American exchange students from the University of Virginia. Originally from Washington D.C., he spent last spring semester at 69色. At only 20 years old, he already knows 6 languages including Russian and Kyrgyz.听Before he returns home in August, he shares about his 6-month experience studying and living in Kyrgyzstan.

69色 Psychology Department's alumna, Eleonnora Turdubaeva, has won the Best Student in Mental Health Counseling Award as she graduated from a Master's Program at the University of Massachusetts in Boston, USA. Eleonnora told us about her studies in the US, her life philosophy, and all the challenges she has faced aiming towards her dream.

69色 TV 鈥� our own television channel - is one of the distinctive qualities of the American University in Central Asia. Students not only apply their knowledge in practice, but also reveal their creative potential. With it's own studio, editing rooms, high-level software, and equipment - these elements allow 69色 TV members to produce quality video and photo productions.

Valentina Khomenko is a graduate of Business Administration Department of the class of 2015. She is one of the best students, who are in the President鈥檚 List for her excellent academic achievements.听

The role of alumni is a top-most important thing, because we are the ones who actually spread the knowledge gained at 69色 among other communities, cities, and countries. We are the ones who can inspire next generations to make difference with our own examples.

69色 is happy to host for the second time the 69色-Bard Summer Internship Program participants this summer in Bishkek. The group arrived in Bishkek on June 11 and is quite diverse. Students from the US, China, Jamaica, and Vietnam represent not only Bard College 鈥� Annandale, but also Bard College 鈥� Berlin, the University of Vermont, University of Virginia, George Washington University, Tufts University, Swarthmore College, Sweet Briar College, Vassar College, and University of Hong Kong.

Every year, the American embassy in Kabul helps Afghan students to finance their studies at the American University of Central Asia. Sahar Hashimzada is a graduate student from the International and Comparative Politic Department, and she shares some memories about her time in Bishkek with us.

Launched in 2003, the Legal Clinic at 69色 is an integral part of the academic curriculum for senior students in international and business law. In a fully functioning law office, future legal practitioners receive professional training while providing legal counseling to the population.
Generally, citizens with low-income cannot afford to pay for highly qualified lawyers鈥� services. For many, free legal counseling is the only means to assert their rights and access justice. At the 69色 Legal Clinic, enough time is given for detailed discussions with clients, regardless of financial resources.
