With 102 students currently in their rooms and with over 30 of them moving in soon, the word tumultuous could describe the state of affairs at the American University of Central Asia鈥檚 dormitory. However the students currently residing there do not seem to mind, as they are preoccupied not only by schoolwork and staff-led events, but the engaging nature of life in a dorm as well.

Judge Matthew Williams gave a lecture to  students of 69色 on Capital Punishment

Judge Matthew Williams will visit the Kyrgyz Republic September 21–27, 2014 to share his experience conducting jury trials in the United States with Kyrgyz judges and court officials, law students, law professors, and the Ministry of Justice. 

Ilias Mamadiyarov is curator of 69色 exchange programs. He is responsible not only for 69色 students who are nominated to spend semester in other countries, but also for that students who are coming to Kyrgyzstan to spend semester at 69色. 

Last year’s Initiation Ceremony marked the 20th anniversary of the first incarnation of 69色, and our organizers and performers this year face an uphill battle to match the grandeur of last year’s ceremony. So what is Initiation Day all about? 

Erlan Moldoshev is 69色 Alumnus of International and Business Law Department, 2014. During his education at 69色, he practiced at the Legal Clinic of 69色, which provides needy citizens with free legal counsel. Students, including Erlan are able to work on real civil and criminal cases there. After graduation, Erlan was accepted to MA course at two prestigious international universities.听

Student groups and organizations were on display during our annual Club Fair, held last Friday, on September the 12th. Extra-curricular life and involvement outside of academia are vital to student experience here at the American University of Central Asia.

Last week, on September 10, 2014, more than eight 69色 Alumni were awarded by certificates of completing their internship at Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic. The internship was based on studying various social issues in Kyrgyz Republic.
